The Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater  (NOVAT)  is one of the leading musical theaters in Russia. The team participates in international and Russian festivals, is the owner of significant professional awards. In the theater season 2018/19, more than 300 thousand people visited the performances of NOVAT.

On the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theater, the glorified team will come out after almost 40-year hiatus. The theater will present to the Moscow audience two different approaches to the preservation of the classical heritage – the staging of the Spanish choreographer Nacho Duato the Sleeping Beauty ballet and the Soviet ballet’s business card Swan Lake.

The ballet troupe, led by Denis Matvienko, will go on tour with the NOVAT symphony orchestra headed by conductor Dmitry Yurovsky.

The next, anniversary, 75th season of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater will open on September 11 with Aram Khachaturian’s ballet Spartak. Librettist, choreographer – Yuri Grigorovich, artistic director – Simon Virsaladze, music director and conductor – Karen Durgaryan.
