Who we are

H

UTCHISON ENTERTAINEMNT GROUP and its subsidiary INTERNATIONAL RUSSIAN ATTRACTIONS is recognised as the largest supplier of Russian Shows in the world

Hutchison Entertainment Group (HEG) has become a major force in the entertainment industry throughout the world. Our various companies are presently involved in a diverse range of businesses including:

–  presentation, marketing and advertising of concerts / shows by international attractions in various countries;

–  worldwide representation of cultural, classical and contemporary attractions;

–  consultation to both the private and government sectors on live arts, marketing and advertising strategies, as well as the creation and operation of major/ special events.

Our Managing Director Graham Hutchison has been a part of the entertainment industry since 1968. He originally presented Australia’s first major open air concert setting a whole new format for rock entertainment. This led to hundreds during his career. At the same time he established what was to become Australia’s second largest entertainment agency representing the who’s who of the rock industry for the next 25 years. With a flourishing rock industry it was not long before he also founded one of Australia’s first independent  record companies,  a music publishing company as well as a marketing /PR company to promote the major attractions and concerts.

In the 80’s we established  the consulting arm to assist both the private and government sectors in staging and marketing of major events as well as advising them how best to cater for the future changes in direction the entertainment industry would take.

With the demand for overseas artists increasing the Hutchison Entertainment Group became increasingly involved in the presentation of some of the worlds biggest  attractions.

Diversity of musical styles was part of the Hutchison Entertainment Group philosophy, which resulted in the presentation of hundreds of different artists from Chuck Berry and Elton John to the Violent Femmes and Nirvana. It was this diversity that assisted in creating a high public profile for the Hutchison Entertainment Group.

In the 90’s, our organisation operated both Australia wide and internationally with the widest imaginable diversity of interest and activities. Under the banner of the Hutchison Group of Companies, the organisation was involved in Artist Agency, Presentation of International Attractions, Special Event Management and Marketing, Publicity and Promotion.

During the next decade Hutchison Entertainment Group once again diversified. Initiating a joint venture with the Russian government’s GOSCONCERT to tour major Russian attractions in Australia and New Zealand, creating the concept of the Great Australian Rodeo and Expo for Japan, establishing our company’s own office in Russia, being recognized by ARIA (the  Australian Record Industry Association) for our company’s contributions to the Australian music industry, being granted the exclusive license to open and operate the only Bolshoi Ballet Academy anywhere in the world outside of Moscow – are just a few of our company’s remarkable achievements.

The Russian Government was so impressed with our company’s contribution to the worldwide support and promotion of Russian arts, that they quoted to the Moscow Times “Mr. Hutchison has been the biggest contributor to the international promotion of Russian arts in the last  two decades”.
