The ensemble “Beryozka” have visited the Republic of Crimea in the framework of the anniversary tour in the south of Russia.

Performances were held in the following cities:

August 5 – Simferopol – State Academic Musical Theater of the Republic of Crimea;

August 6 – Sevastopol – GBUK Cultural Information Center;

August 7 – Yevpatoriya – Yevpatoriya Pushkin Theater;

August 9 – Yalta – KZ “Yubileiny”;

August 10 – Kerch – DC “Ship”.

The State Academic Choreographic Ensemble “Beryozka” was founded in 1948 by the outstanding choreographer of the 20th century, Nadezhda Nadezhdina. In each dance composition of the Ensemble the soul of the Russian people is gracefully revealed. Nadezhdina gave our country a wonderful heritage that the whole world has admired for 70 years. The creative heritage of Nadezhdina includes more than 40 productions. In 1979, after the death of N. S. Nadezhdina, the People’s Artist of the USSR Mira Koltsova, the soloist of “Beryozka”, a student and follower of N. S. Nadezhdina became the artistic director. Mira Koltsova not only preserved the creative heritage of Nadezhdina, but also enriched the repertoire of the ensemble with new productions.
