The famous Moscow ballet troupe Moscow City Ballet will present the Nutcracker ballet on 25 December in Tallinn Saku Suurhall.

The Nutcracker is a ballet by P. I. Tchaikovsky in two acts on the libretto by Marius Petipa after E. The Nutcracker and the Mouse King, fairy tale by E. T. A. Hoffmann. The libretto was based on the arrangement of a fairy tale made in 1844 by Alexander Dumas the father. In connection with the partial change in the plot of Hoffmann’s fairy tale, the plot version of the libretto appears in a more smooth, fabulously symbolic form.

The premiere of the ballet took place on December 18, 1892 at the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg.
