The Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater presented the opera Faust at the Bolshoi Theater
The performance of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater was presented on October 29 as part of the IV Seeing Music festival of Russian musical theaters. The provocative production of Georgy Isahakyan captivated the Moscow public with its brilliant composition and excellent performance, unexpected directorial approach and spectacular artistic design.

Among the directors of the play are artist Denis Sazonov, who created the set design and costumes, lighting designer Irina Viktornikova, choirmaster Alexander Alekseev.

The leading parts of the performance were performed by the brilliant soloists of the Bashkir opera troupe: Honored Artist of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Award “Golden Mask” and the State Youth Prize named after S. Babich Ilham Valiev (Faust), People’s Artist of Bashkortostan Askar Abdrazakov (Mephistopheles), People’s Artist of Bashkortostan Elvira Fatykhova (Margarita), Jan Leiche (Valentin), Sergei Sidorov (Zibel), Katerina Leiche (Marta) and Honored Artist Vladimir Bashkort (Wagner).

The orchestra panel of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater stood up to the musical director and conductor of the performance, Honored Artist of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Award “Golden Mask” Artyom Makarov.

The premiere of the opera Faust by Charles Gounod took place on the stage of the basoper in September 2018, in the year of the 200th anniversary of the composer.
