The oldest national ensemble of Russia – the Pyatnitsky Choir – have  visited Ulan-Ude. The choir gave a two-hour program “I’m flying over Russia,” the press service of the Buryat Philharmonic said. The concert of the Pyatnitsky State Academic Russian Folk Choir was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation within the framework of the program “All-Russian Philharmonic Seasons”.Each performance of the choir is a whole festival of folk art. The team also includes a dance group and an orchestra of folk instruments. Only the most talented musicians, dancers and singers from all over Russia are included in the choir.Eight years have passed since the last performance of the legendary choir in Ulan-Ude (the band came in 2011). And today, residents of the capital of Buryatia were again able to see the collective recognized throughout the world. The artists brought the program, which included the best numbers from the repertoire of the choir: a palette of folklore from different regions – from North to South, compositions of Soviet and Russian composers. The program also included traditional Russian dances. The performance of the team was sold out. The hall of the Russian Drama Theater was expectedly full – there were no free tickets on sale a week before the concert. Each performance item broke a squall of applause.
