For the first time in Israel: a magic ice show for the whole family – The Nutcracker from the Moscow Circus on Ice. After the triumphal tour in the winter of 2019 with the play “The Snow Queen”, the Israeli audience was amazed with the highest level of skill – both in circus performances and in figure skating, with an abundance of unique in complexity and filigree tricks to perform, we are again met with the Miracle. At the height of the summer holidays, the Moscow Circus on Ice returns to Israel. This time you will see the new performance of the collective – The Nutcracker based on the fairy tale by E. T. A. Hoffman.

This magical and touching story about the power of love, which is subject to everything – even the transformation of a toy into a handsome prince – perfectly reflects the concept of this team, their original creative approach. They are beyond concepts and rules – not just a circus, not just a theater, not just an ice show – but all this together, in a single harmonious act, which you cannot call a miracle.

And the fact that traditionally the New Year, winter fairy tale is shown in the midst of the summer heat is also part of the general approach: “to be beyond stereotypes”. The real snow going on stage during the performance only enhances this contrast and adds to the performance of the charm.

Small, but important detail for each parent: unlike ballet performances, this show is accompanied by a Hebrew narrator, which makes parental whispering unnecessary during the plot. Viewers of all ages can concentrate on the performance itself, receiving a maximum of impressions from this wonderful action.

Surprisingly, sometimes the rejection of stereotypes means just a return to the good old traditions. In the “same”, “real” circus, which many people remember from childhood, all the performances were accompanied by an orchestra. Live music was an integral part of the circus atmosphere. The performance “The Nutcracker” of the Moscow Circus on Ice will be accompanied by the orchestra. Someone will say: “Just think! What is the difference?” And someone, perhaps, for a moment will return to the distant time of his childhood … Well, isn’t that a miracle?
