On June 26, the hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior became a place of applause and genuine art. The audience came to see the concert of the academic ensemble named after Igor Moiseyev, one of the most outstanding choreographic groups in the world, which celebrated its 80th anniversary a couple of years ago. Artists again demonstrated their skills and inexhaustible enthusiasm. The hall gathered a full house, and the audience often trodden in time to the stage masters. The ensemble’s repertoire included the Polish dance “Oberek”, the Russian “Summer” and “Yablochko”, the Moldavian folk dance and other numbers. And everywhere the atmosphere of a whirlwind of dance was felt, whether it was the dancing of sparkling sailors, village characters, or folk heroes. A third of the entire public, as noted by the publication “Evening Moscow”, were Chinese tourists. And this is not by chance, because in China, the ensemble of Igor Moiseyev, capable even of striking any viewer without even stage special effects and vivid scenery, is a huge success. As, however, and all over the world – from North America to Europe.
