Classical music and ballet: a big festival will be held in Mariupol

Mariupol residents will meet autumn to the music of the symphony orchestra and enumeration of the bandura strings – the large-scale Mariupol Classic festival is coming. It is reported by the press service of the Mariupol City Council.

At the end of summer, the second Mariupol Classic festival of musical art starts in Mariupol: on August 30 at 19:00, a combined symphony orchestra from different cities of Ukraine will perform in the open air on the main square of the city. Within 2.5 hours, Mariupol residents will be able to hear the world-famous masterpieces of classical art, opera arias, vocal Ukrainian classics and much more. The festival will continue for ten days.

“The main goal is to make Mariupol a“ magnet ”for the creative intelligentsia of Ukraine and advanced figures of modern art. As a result, the transformation of the city into the spiritual and cultural center of the Azov region, ”the message noted.

In the program of the festival:

· Dnieper Academic Opera and Ballet Theater with the legendary ballet production of Romeo and Juliet;

· National Honored Chapel of Bandurists under the direction of Yuri Kurach – People’s Artist of Ukraine;

· Kiev string quartet Mozart Quartet will give a concert with the legendary pianist Anthony Baryshevsky, winner of more than 20 international competitions;

· The Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Lugansk Philharmonic (Severodonetsk), conducted by Nazar Yatskiv;

· A family of Shutko virtuoso musicians with their own program “Unsurpassed”;

· Students of the Kiev National Academy of Music named after P.I. Tchaikovsky with a concert of classical guitar music.

The festival closes on September 8 at the Philharmonic Chamber Symphony Show performed by the Symphony Orchestra of the Dnieper Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
