The Bolshoi Theater will perform at Covent Garden. Traditionally, the summer season is the time of the tour of the troupe of the country’s main theater. Bolshoi ballet dancers have only recently returned from a trip to Australia, and now they have a new journey ahead. This time, the Bolshoi troupe is eagerly awaited at London’s Covent Garden.
It should be noted that performances by artists of the Bolshoi Theater will open the Russian part of the cross Year of Music of Great Britain and Russia. The tours of Russian dancers will last for three weeks, during which the Swan Lake, Spartak, Don Quixote and Light Stream will be presented to the London public.
Such large-scale visiting performances require tremendous preparation: the theater’s director general Vladimir Urin and the head of the ballet troupe, Mahar Vaziev, will go with the troupe. It is known that the total number of tour participants was almost three hundred people, and several containers were sent to London with stage props and costumes.
