We continue to publish the program of the International Ballet Festival named after R. Nureyev. September 17 at the stage of the Bashkir Opera and Ballet Theater – ballet cantata “Carmina Burana” of the Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theater.

This is one of the strongest musical works of Karl Orff, which is characterized by powerful magnetism and frantic energy. The light, pastel colors of the design of a heavenly place, where delicate in color robes are decorated with gold lace, are contrasted with the blue-silver tones of the Sin City, which conveys temptation and temptation. And in one of the most striking pictures of the play – the scene of hell, where the famous “Oh Fortune” sounds – everything is flooded with red light, as if enveloped in flowing flames.

Such original decoration was proposed by production designer Anton Slastnikov and costume designer Elena Slastnikova. The central place for the performance is given to the Wheel of Fortune. The choreographer is a laureate of the VIII International Theater Forum “Golden Knight”.The musical director and conductor is Evgeny Volynsky. The conductor is Alexander Matushkin. The main choirmaster is Natalya Makarova.
