On September 11 at the stage of the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater in the framework of the XXII International Festival of Ballet Art named after Rudolf Nureyev will be presented the ballet “Swan Lake” P.I. Tchaikovsky. Leading ballet parts will be performed by soloists of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

On the Ufa stage, the performance is in one of the best versions. Choreographer: People’s Artist of the USSR and the Republic of Bashkortostan, winner of the Lenin Prize and State Prizes of the USSR, Hero of Socialist Labor, Hero of Labor of the Kuban, winner of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, I Degree, Yuri Grigorovich (Moscow). Production designer – People’s Artist of the USSR, Laureate of the Lenin Prize and State Prizes of the USSR (Moscow) Simon Virsaladze (Moscow). Conductor: Honored Artist of Russia, People’s Artist of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Award “Golden Mask” Valery Platonov (Perm). The decoration restoration artist is Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Professor Dmitry Cherbadzhi (Moscow). Libretto by Yu. Grigorovich based on the script by Vladimir Begichev and Vasily Geltser.

The ballet Swan Lake is one of the pinnacles of the work of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, this composition conquers the unique unity of music and choreography, as well as the symphonic development of dramatic action. The ballet as edited by Grigorovich, which has preserved the best fragments of the previous productions of Marius Petipa, Lev Ivanov and Alexander Gorsky, collects full rooms all over the world, including in Bashkir Opera.
