Less than an hour is left before the opening ceremony of the Spasskaya Tower Festival. This year, several thousand military and civilian musicians and artists are participating in it. Our correspondent, Yana Miroy, is now working on Red Square. Her word.

The organizers of this holiday, as always, do not need scenery – everything happens on Red Square. The Spasskaya Tower is one of the most ambitious military music shows in the world. For 12 years, the festival has received participants from more than 60 countries of the world.

This year 30 teams from 12 states. Including – both Korea. Spectators are prepared to surprise with a rich program. They promise to perform even rock. The organizers claim that military musicians can do anything. Performances at the arena have been held for 10 years. There are approximately 600 tons of sand on the paving stones. Horse shows on Red Square are a special part of the festival. On a separate site – a children’s town, a souvenir fair, tents with master classes, 62 events – not counting the daily performances of the participants.

This year the main theme of the festival is “Solo with Orchestra”. Khibla Gerzmava, Tamara Gverdtsiteli, Igor Butman will perform on Red Square. Well, in the finale of each day of the performance, a festive salute.
