The ensemble named after A. Aleksandrov with great success performed in the capital of the Czech Republic.

As part of a tour of Eastern European countries, there were three concerts at the Tipsport Arena in Prague, which were visited by more than 11,000 spectators, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported on  May 20.With great success two concerts took place in the Czech Brno, which were visited by more than 8 thousand people. The tour will continue in the cities of Liberec, Plzen, Ceske Budejovice, Olomouc and Ostrava, and then in the Hungarian Tokay and 9 more Slovak cities. A total of 28 concerts are planned in 22 cities in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. The tour will end with two performances in Bratislava on June 9.The program of the concerts includes the best of the ensemble’s repertoire for the 90-year history of the collective: military and folk songs and dances, ancient romances. According to the established tradition, songs of the host countries are played, performed in the language of the audience – Slovak “On the Kraleva Goli” and “Matseyko”, Czech “On that svatu Katerina” and the Hungarian “Rosa Gerencher”, and also “Chardash” by Vittorio Monti performed by the orchestra. One of the dance performances is the “Moldovan Suite”, with a special warmth received by residents of Eastern Europe.The first tour in Czechoslovakia took place in 1937, in Hungary – later, in 1946. Since then, the ensemble has visited Czechoslovakia 10 times, 17 times in the Czech Republic, 13 – in the Slovak Republic, 12 – in Hungary, it is noted in the defense department.
