The last days of spring, Igor Moiseyev’s academic ensemble of folk dance spent in Baku. Here, for the first time after a 20-year interval, the group performed on the stage of the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Under the guidance of the student of Igor Moiseev, Elena Shcherbakova, the team continues to move from one creative achievement to another. The audience was able to fully appreciate it, watching the performance of artists. And not just watching – enjoying and seeing off each exit of artists with deafening applause. A real sensation of this concert was the latest premiere of the group, prepared by him under the guidance of choreographer Laura Roatt, who was invited from Argentina, the two-act ballet Tango del Plata. But the well-known numbers from childhood – “Summer”, “Sirtaki”, “Yablochko”, etc., were no less successful. As one of the spectators put it, “you get younger when you look, you want to dance yourself”.
