The troupe of the Imperial Russian Ballet is sent on a world tour. The head of the ballet Gediminas Taranda will tell about the tour program.
A press conference dedicated to the first tour of the troupe in St. Petersburg and the program of the world tour as part of its 25th anniversary was held in St. Petersburg on June 4.
In addition to the troupe leader, Denis Matvienko, artistic director of the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater, and Honored Artist of Russia Ilya Kuznetsov took part in the press conference.
The head of the ballet troupe, Gedeminas Taranda, is an Honored Artist of Russia. He worked at the Bolshoi Theater, performed parts in Yuri Grigorovich’s plays “Raymond” and “Golden Age”. In addition, he became one of the co-founders of the Foundation for the Cultural and Educational Movement “Promotion of Creative Education”.
Gedeminas Taranda himself will give a master class in St. Petersburg.
